About Dr. Ashok Hande
Neurosurgeon, Brain Stroke Specialist
Dr. Ashok Hande is a distinguished figure in the field of neurological surgery, renowned for his expertise and dedication to enhancing the lives of his patients. With over three decades of experience, he stands as a beacon of excellence in neurosurgical care. Currently serving as the Director of the Department of Neurological Surgery at Fortis Hospital, Navi Mumbai, and as a Visiting Consultant at the esteemed Ruby Hall Clinic and Research Centre in Pune, Dr. Hande brings forth a wealth of knowledge and skill to his practice. His professional journey began in 1986, he has been doing surgery for brain stroke since 1990and since then, he has been at the forefront of pioneering advancements in neurosurgery. Dr. Hande’s areas of specialization include surgery for brain stroke, aneurysm, arteriovenous malformation (AVM), re-vascularization procedures, complex brain tumor surgery & neuro-rehabilitation. His commitment to staying abreast of the latest developments in his field ensures that his patients receive the most advanced and effective treatments available. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hande is also a visionary leader who has founded the Purva Medical Foundation. This initiative is dedicated to raising awareness about brain stroke and empowering communities with knowledge to prevent and manage this debilitating condition. Through his advocacy and outreach efforts, Dr. Hande is making significant strides in improving public health outcomes.

Mrs. Prema Hande
Treasurer
A committed nurse with two decades of service at BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai, Prema Hande has dedicated her career to enhancing community health through compassionate care and expertise. Her extensive experience in nursing has significantly impacted the well-being of many individuals. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Prema plays a vital role as the Treasurer of Purva Medical Trust, where she applies her skills to support and advance the organization's mission in raising brain stroke awareness and providing critical services to those in need.

A distinguished chemistry graduate and seasoned entrepreneur with over 30 years in sales, marketing, and business development. As an Independent Director accredited by IICA, Amit's ventures include chemical trading, hospitality, and startup investments. He is deeply committed to social causes, particularly brain stroke awareness, showcasing his passion for community welfare and health education.
Mr. Diwakar Kallianpur
With over 36 years in Finance Operations and Marketing, Diwakar's career includes a 2-year stint at Serum Institute of India and 34 years at UTI Mutual Fund, culminating as Senior Executive Vice President and Zonal Head - South. He currently serves as Executive Vice President at UTI Trustee Company. As President of the Rotary Club of Millennium City, Navi Mumbai, Diwakar exemplifies "Service Above Self," actively engaging in helping the needy and temple-related activities in Kumta and Udupi.
Miliend V Sawai
A chemical engineer and MBA in marketing with over two decades of experience working with Fortune 500 companies across India and internationally. Six years ago, he became an entrepreneur in specialty chemicals and online business. A dedicated President of Rotary Club, Milind actively leads community service projects, including school improvements, food distribution, and forming youth clubs, alongside his passion for music with IFRM.

Medical professional and social entrepreneur with 25+ years of experience across government, private, and corporate sectors. Guinness World Records organizer and participant. Actively served during COVID-19, continuously staying updated through webinars, seminars, and global trainings.

Dr. Anil Karapurkar
A world-renowned neurosurgeon and pioneer of interventional neuro-radiology in India, Dr. Karapurkar has held prestigious positions such as President of the Asian Australasian Federation of Interventional & Therapeutic Neuroradiology (AAFITN) and President of the Cerebrovascular Society of India. He serves as Advisor Technical Standards and Ethics for the World Federation of Interventional & Therapeutic Neuroradiology (WFITN). Dr. Karapurkar is also a member of numerous professional societies, including NSI, NSSI, IAN, ISA, Neurotrauma Society, ISPN, as well as international societies like AAFITN, WFITN, and CNS. He has extensive experience at KEM Hospital Mumbai, Indraprastha Apollo, Bombay Hospital, HN Hospital, and Jupiter Hospital, and is currently associated with Breach Candy Hospital, Shushrusha Hospital, Reliance Foundation Hospital, and Saifee Hospital.
Dr. Santosh Prabhu
An accomplished neurosurgeon with an MBBS from MGIMS, Nagpur University, and an MS in General Surgery, followed by an M.Ch. in Neurosurgery from Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospitals. With 30 years in teaching and 36 years in professional practice, Dr. Prabhu serves as the Director & Chairman of Neurosurgery at WIINS, Kolhapur. His humanitarian efforts through the KP Prabhu Charitable Foundation highlight his dedication to alleviating suffering, embodying compassion, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the medical profession and community welfare.
Dr. Ashok Bhanage
Director and Head of Neurosurgery & Radiosurgery at Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune. With a tradition spanning 50 years, the Neurosurgery Department excels in diagnostics, patient care, and education. Dr. Bhanage was pivotal as Chairman of Kamalnayan Bajaj Cancer Centre since its inception in 2005, establishing it as a premier cancer treatment facility through strategic planning, business development, CSR activities, and daily operations for 18 years.
