Major Risk Factors That Can Lead to Brain Stroke
Prevention starts with awareness. SHAAADOWSSS® is a globally unique acronym coined by Brainline to highlight preventable risk factors. Recognizing these risks early can significantly reduce the chances of brain stroke.

Smoking – Damages blood vessels and increases stroke risk.

Hypertension – The leading and most common cause of strokes.

Age – Risk increases significantly with age, especially after 55.

Alcohol Abuse – Excessive alcohol can trigger high BP and irregular rhythms.

Atrial Fibrillation – Irregular heartbeat that raises stroke probability.

Diabetes – High glucose levels damage brain blood vessels over time.

Obesity – Leads to high BP, cholesterol, and diabetes — all stroke factors.

Wellspring (Family History) – Genetic predisposition to strokes matters.

Brainline – 3 Years of Transforming Brain Health & Stroke Prevention (2022–2025)
Over the last three years, Brainline has grown from a local initiative to a movement, driving awareness, research, and innovation to prevent strokes and improve brain health.
Demographic Survey & Risk Assessment
Conducted one of the largest stroke awareness surveys in Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad, screening 6,500 individuals to identify gaps and map risk factors.
2022Awareness & Education Programmes
Organized over 250 awareness programs, directly reaching 20,000+ people through colleges, corporates, and communities.
2022Digital Outreach
Launched Brainline.info, podcasts, and music initiatives, building a global digital movement to make stroke awareness relatable and shareable.
2023Clinical & Community Research
Completed a retrospective analysis of 250 patients with brainstroke and initiated a prospective community cohort with structured brain health check-ups.
2023Brainline Riskometer & App
Developed and validated a digital app for individuals to check and monitor their brain health risk at their fingertips.
2025Primary Stroke Care Network
Initiated development of Stroke Care Centres in Thane and Raigad, reducing treatment time to within 60 minutes.
2025Innovative Research in Brain Health
Studying effects of Indian classical music using automated EEG for anxiety, depression, and insomnia solutions.
